Yolo County - HHSA - Child Welfare Services (CWS)

Program Information

Child Welfare Services works directly with families who have substantiated child abuse and/or neglect. These families can either be court involved or voluntary. Internships in our county will primarily be available in our Ongoing unit which works with families in court Family Maintenance, Family Reunification and Permanency Planning. There may also be internship opportunities in Family Meeting Facilitation, Emergency Response, Voluntary Family Maintenance or Resource Family Approval. We pride ourselves on giving interns an overview of the Child Welfare System and shadowing/training opportunities in service components outside of their primary intern assignment.

We are very interested in Title IV-E students or any student that has an interest in the Child Welfare System.
