Desert mountain vegetation, ancient bristlecone pine forest (Schulman Grove, Inyo National Forest).
Health & Safety
Ability to deal with high altitude (approx 10,000 ft above sea level), uneven, rocky, sandy desert and mountain terrain, potentially hot daytime temperatures & potentially cold nighttime temperatures and wind. Awareness of rattlesnakes (typically shy but bite is poisonous). Additional wildlife is also in the area.
