Program Information Orthopedic Medical Practice.
Interns will have the opportunity to work one on one with patients in an orthopedic medical practice. Experiences include interacting with patients and their families, doctors and physician assistants, hospitals, and insurance companies. Examples of daily activities include rooming patients, taking vitals, applying and removing casts, removing staples or stitches from surgery, counseling and scheduling patients for surgery. This position requires the intern to working directly with patients and physicians to treat conditions such as fractures, torn ligaments and tendons, arthritis, osteoporosis and many other orthopedic conditions.
