Organization Description

Pacific Union School is an elementary school including grades Transitional Kindergarten through Eight in the Pacific Union School District serving children in the community of Arcata, which includes the areas of Pacific Manor, Vassaide Estates, Valley West, West End Road, North Bank Road and Hunts Drive. School enrollment is currently 527.

Pacific Union has an outstanding staff consisting of 25 regular education teachers that include teachers who specialize in math, science, language arts, and history in the 7/8th grades, one physical education teacher, one speech specialist, one counselor, one behaviorist, one social worker, two special education teachers, one reading specialist, one English Learner technician, one Library Technician, one part time nurse, one music teacher, 16 classroom assistants and two administrators. 100 percent of our teaching staff have taken advanced college classes and participated in professional growth workshops.
