Program Information Description: To provide student intern with skills interact with long term/hospice patients and conduct basic assessments on individual patients. ?? Description of tasks: Facilitate activities with patients (social), visit patients individually while recording their activity before, during and after the interaction. ?? Training: Strong communication skills will be developed with long-term/hospice patients that are commonly hard of hearing will learn to lead a hospice group in an activity while catering to physical needs of each patient. ?? Learning Outcomes: Interprofessional skills with nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, CNAs, and administrators. Organizing skills: interns will learn to prepare for activities according to a strict timed schedule as well as plan future activities.
