Organization Description

S.T.A.R.T.S. is a non-profit, volunteer-driven, after-school program dedicated to providing each child with learning opportunities to become a better student, a better friend and a better person. We offer a nurturing environment where the children are involved in a variety of activities designed to optimize their social skills and their self-esteem. While we are a faith based organization the children we serve come from religious families and non-religious families. We, as staff and volunteers, want to represent the children in the same way. We welcome anyone who would like to inspire children!

Program Information

Program Leader Program Leaders - will lead the days curriculum by instructing children with support from staff and volunteers.  They will monitor students and help them with homework, art projects and other endeavors. Program Leaders will help students stay on task so they can finish their work in the time assigned. Program Leaders will give and receive instruction for the day. Support Assist the Program Leader with the days curriculum, help children with homework and activities.  Step in where support may be needed.

All students, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation, are open and welcome to participate.
