Organization Description

Aspiranet's Mission Statement: Aspiranet's mission as a public benefit corporation is to meet the need for quality human services for children and families in their communities. The mission of First 5 Contra Costa is to foster the optimal development of our children, prenatal to five years of age.

Program Information

Interns can design a workshop to teach parents of children 0-5 on any health topic of interest to them, or that we have seen a need for here at the center. Time and guidance will be given by the director as well as supervision. When not working on this presentation, interns will help in all aspects of center life: child watch (interacting with 6 mos. to 5 year olds), helping with family events, helping teachers with research, teaching materials, helping out when we change our theme walls and cleaning.
