Organization Description

The mission of SF State University’s Health Promotion & Wellness (HP&W) unit is to achieve health equity and enhance academic, personal, and professional success for all members of the SF State community.  Using a socio-ecological perspective and practicing with cultural humility, we aim to positively shift culture and social norms around health and wellness and to increase students’ self-efficacy to make informed health decisions.

Program Information

The intern will be working out of the health center. Some of the focus areas will be: Analyzing the built environment of the health center Looking at the health literacy of our website and print materials, helping SHS prep for accreditation, helping prep for the fall school year, looking at past evaluations and seeing how we can improve our evaluation process and possible work with social media.
