Organization Description

The Women's Health Resource Center (WHRC) is a source of services, workshops, classes, and programs for women throughout the lifespan. The agency coordinates patient education, classes for pregnancy, community resources and outreach, information on research and clinical trials related to women's health, offer educational materials form the lending library.

Program Information

Interns work closely with WHRC staff on all aspects of program operation. They assist in all daily activities of the Center as well as work on individual projects tailored to the needs of the Center and the interests of the individual intern including development and improvement of the Great Expectations Pregnancy Program (a program that offers women who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or lactating a variety of resources on topics ranging from conception to birth and breastfeeding to parenting); assisting with the planning and implementation of community events, workshops or conferences; tabling at health fairs and working on new projects as they develop. Intern would be responsible for providing customer service to individuals who come into or call the WHRC.
