Organization Description

Asian American Recover Services Inc. develops and provides strength-based models of prevention and education programs to youth throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. These programs provide a wide-range of diverse, culturall-competent services including educational presentations, life skills development, asset development, mentoring and much more.

Program Information

Under supervision of the Program Manager, the intern will work with a full-time Case Manager to learn to provide intensive case management to youths on probation and their families in the SF Juvenile Probation system, as well as maintaining appropriate reports and records, and participating in administrative and clinical meetings; The intern will also learn to provide AOD Education groups to youths who are incarcerated at Youth Guidance Center; The intern will participate in planning and implementation of recreational activities for the youth and monthly parent events in the community.
