Organization Description

Engage As You Age creates inter-generational connections between creative people and homebound or isolated older adults and seniors by pairing a smart, empathetic Activity Specialist with a senior who shares his or her interests and passions. As an auxiliary service to physical care, our two- to three-hour sessions, led by carefully screened and matched Activity Specialists, stimulate and enhance cognitive and social interactions while giving immediate family members some welcome respite from continuing care responsibilities.

Program Information

Blogging & Social Media - Interns will update website blog, update Facebook page and Twitter page. This intern work can be done at our office or at home. Employee Recruitment -Interns will work with founder to target communities/organizations/schools/groups to reach out and spread the word about part-time work opportunities. Interns will participate in interviews of prospective employees (always with a full-time Engage employee present). Update Employee Training Manuals - Interns will work with founder to fine tune our employee training manuals and employee training processes. Market Research - Interns will conduct interviews and surveys both on the phone and in person to better understand the population that Engage is serving.
