Organization Description

Good Samaritan Family Resource Center provides a wide spectrum of services to Latino immigrant families in San Francisco, such as free English classes with childcare, support groups for women, child development support groups for parents, case management through Family Advocates, a family planning clinic, and youth services program.

Program Information

Interns would work in the Youth Services Department, assisting our staff in directly working with youth during after school activities such as: cultural arts classes for middle school aged youth, a high school Latino empowerment program, field trips and possibly in support groups. Most of these activities occur in Mission District public schools after school hours. • Learning and contributing to curriculum, • Supervising youth participants during activities, • Assisting lead instructor/facilitator in implementing lesson/activity plan, • Communicating with parents of youth, • Possibly driving agency van for field trips • Some attendance data entry
