Organization Description

The mission of the Health Equity Institute (HEI) is to reate an intellectivual environment that encourages diversity of perspectives, challenges convnetional approahces, and produces innovative action-oriented research in biomedical and behavioral sciences in order to improve health, elminate disparities, and establish equity in health.

Program Information

Possible projects include; producing community briefs for HEI that disseminate resarch findings for ELAYO readers and media outlets, assisting with creating strategic social media plans to effectively spread the mission of HEI, assist in writing news pieces for monthly HEI newsletters, possibly contributing to ELAYO (research project at HEI) communication activities including community briefs, social media, and plannign events. Other responsibilities may include creating social media posts for HEI that spread health related messages, writing pieces for internal and extrenal publication, possibly researching related activites, interview transciption, literature reviews and report composition.
