Program Information The Institute for Healthcare Advancement (IHA) is a California 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit foundation dedicated to empowering people to better health. Founded in 1993, IHA provides management services to Friends of Family Health Center and other providers, operates a family resource center, and develops and publishes easy to read and easy to use self-help health care books. IHA is recognized nationally as an expert in health literacy.
