Ocean View School District

Ocean View School District was formed in 1874 when the area was totally farmland. Today it serves nearly 9,500 students in 17 schools covering preschool through eighth grade and state preschool. The District continues to have outstanding academic growth in student achievement. There is strong parent support for the schools. The District is located in West Orange County, approximately 35 miles south of Los Angeles and 90 miles north of San Diego. It encompasses 15 square miles in the northern half of Huntington Beach and serves pupils in Huntington Beach, Westminster, Fountain Valley, and Midway City. High school students are served by Huntington Beach Union High School District. Ocean View is a merit system school district.
