Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California is dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and their families by supporting Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake and the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House.

While local McDonald’s restaurants provide generous support to Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California, the majority of financial contributions come from community donations, special events, and corporate sponsorships.

Program Information

Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and their families by supporting the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House and Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake. The Sacramento Ronald McDonald House provides children and families with a calm, warm space where they can find rest and mutual support. This home-away-from-home provides shelter and comfort to families who need to travel to the Sacramento area in order to receive medical treatment for their child. Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake provides participants who are at risk, disadvantaged, and/or living with physical, developmental, and/or emotional disabilities with confidence-building experiences. The Camp’s accessible site removes all physical barriers and the program promotes individuality and self-esteem through the challenges of outdoor group living and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Health & Safety

We house families that have children being seen at one of the five area children hospitals in Sacramento. They are required to have either up to date COVID-19 vaccines or proof of negative COVID tests (within 24 hours) in order to visit hospital.

The Director of Operations is an RD that supervises the students. For the most part, I will be here to answer any questions. There are projects that are independent.
