- We need volunteers to lead the field trips, provide back-end book-making support, and to sit with students and talk out ideas.
- Field Trips do not happen every Monday-Thursday.
- Weekend workshops: range in subject matter, but all attempt to teach narrative to students in a creative and a fun way.
- Past workshop subject matter includes restaurant reviews, movie-making, comic-books, songwriting, and more.
- Volunteers in the workshop program sit in small groups, assist their students with pre-write activities, and aid in the composition of the main project piece.
Interns assist with the above programs, provide day-to-day administrative support, and have the opportunity to work directly with parents, teachers, and students to gain valuable experience in several areas of educational programming.
We are able to accept an unlimited number of students working a minimum of 3 hours a week per quarter (most projects are approximately 2.5-3 hours)
