Central American Resource Center
CARECEN envisions Los Angeles becoming a place where Central Americans and all other communities live in peace and dignity, enjoying economic well-being, social justice, and political empowerment. CARECEN empowers Central Americans and all immigrants by defending human and civil rights, working for social and economic justice and promoting cultural diversity.
Programs and Services Offered
CARECEN maintains relationships with public and private universities and other academic institutions in California and across the U.S.-Mexico border. Through these relationships, CARECEN provides internships and fellowships that allow students majoring in political science, anthropology, sociology, law, communications, and other disciplines to gain work experience in the social justice arena.
