LEAP Center-Based Program, Inc.
LEAP Center-Based Program, Inc. is a community-based "Parent-and-Me" program designed for children up to the age of three (36 months) and their parents. Services are provided in a group setting that is three families to one teacher (3:1 Ratio). The Center's curriculum focuses on providing stimulating activities for both child and parent to strengthen and support parent-child relationships by means of joint participation. All consumers enrolled in LEAP Center-Based Program participate in regular visits to Spectroom, a children's gym with specialized equipment to enhance physical endurance and vestibular needs.
Health and Safety- Self Identified Site Risks and Health and Safety Considerations: There is less of possibility that the volunteer will be working with children with behavior issues, however there are scenarios where the center may encounter a child with behavior challenges. Dress code must take into account health and safety considerations. Description of tasks students will engage in: Volunteers will assist the Teachers in all activities and work closely with the child and parent/caregiver. They will learn skill application and understand how they can utilize their Child Development Bachelor's degree in the professional world. Please note all volunteers must sign and follow by a Confidentiality Agreement as they may be exposed to personal and confidential information pertaining to the children and families whom receive LEAP Center-Based Program services.

The Program provides daily three-hour classes (Monday-Friday), two times a day (9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-4:00pm)
