Community Builders for Monterey County

Organization Description

In the summer of 2017, Community Builders set out to mobilize and support community engagement to address local needs that affect our communal livelihood, and to cultivate a unique sense of home, identity and local culture, through education, workshops, advocacy, outreach and related programs. We are working across sectors and within the community to achieve a dynamic, connected and compassionate Monterey County where no one is left on the sidelines.

Program Information

REMOTE & IN-PERSON

Community Builders is a new organization connecting volunteers with community needs. This is a
unique opportunity to be involved with a start-up organization that will engage an intern in every aspect of building a community based organization. We are looking for students interested in social innovation and those that understand that volunteering is very much a social service that builds skills, combats loneliness and is linked to health.

Stories of Resilience and Innovative Community Building is our project - details to follow....(collecting/document stories of resilience in response to COVID19) OR for those interest in public administration - general engagement in overall operations of an emerging nonprofit.
