Organization Description Academic Internship conducted on the Cal Poly Pomona Campus
Program Information Career Center Clothes Closet Intern Responsibilities Include: 1) Creates fliers to advertise Clothes Closet and events. 2) Utilize Career Center Social Media to increase Awareness throughout the Cal Poly Pomona Community of the Clothes Closet Service offered in the Career Center. 3) Increases student’s awareness of Clothes Closet by reaching out to Cal Poly Pomona clubs and organizations. 4) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Clothes Closet including checking in new donations into the Clothes Closet Inventory Data Base on a weekly bases. 5) Constantly reviewing Clothes Closet Inventory and removing old and outdated merchandise; donating items not appropriate for the Closet to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. 6) Assist with special events sponsored or cosponsored by the Clothes Closet, i.e. Clothes Closet Open House in the Fall & Spring Semester. 7) Ensure that the inventory system is being implemented. 8) Ensure that a proper check in/out system is being used by students that utilizes the Handshake check in system for the Clothes Closet. 9) Reaching out to the campus community and companies for possible donations. 10) Project Lead for work done in collaboration with the Apparel Merchandising and Management (AMM) Team that is assigned to the Career Center Clothes Closet as part of the AMM Business Simulation Courses. 11) Meet with Dr. Love, Clothes Closet Coordinator, once a week to review progress on duties assigned for the Clothes Closet. And be able to work the full 15 weeks of the semester.
