Organization Description

BodySpec provides affordable medical-grade health and metabolic assessments to help health-conscious individuals achieve their wellness or fitness goals. We offer the nation's most affordable DXA scan (also known as DEXA), which provides a comprehensive snapshot of an individual’s body composition. We also offer RMR tests, VO2 max tests, and nutrition coaching services. Through our Los Angeles and San Francisco storefront locations and our mobile body fat testing trucks, BodySpec serves Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, and Seattle.

Program Information

Students will participate in providing one-on-one consultations with clients who have received results from our assessments. Students will learn to administer those assessments, work with client data to provide a comprehensive report to them, and then present the results to the client, including, when appropriate, guidance on diet and fitness. Students will have the opportunity to analyze changes in body composition over time of clients following various nutrition/fitness programs. Students will also gain general customer service skills in assisting clients with various transactions.

  • Driver's License
  • Must be 18 or older
  • RISK: Event Set-up - Risk includes but not limited to: Lifting, cuts, bruises, etc.
  • RISK: Students will be asked to drive (in addition to travel to and from site) for this placement.
  • RISK: Students will be supervised less than 50% of the time or the supervisor will be responsible for overseeing more than 8 people.
