Burbank Community Day School
Burbank Community Day School's focus is to provide students a positive, supportive, nurturing environment that encourages and enables students to assume responsibility for their own behavior and consequences and mentor them to become productive member of society. The goals of the program are to: (1) support students in a setting which will allow their individual academic and mentoring needs to be addressed daily, (2) to help them overcome the problems that they have experienced, and (3) facilitate their return back to the comprehensive school setting with a positive outlook on life.
Description of tasks student will engage in:
CSUN Mosaic students work closely with At-Promise students at Burbank Community Day School. The primary mission for them on our campus is to be able to create positive relationships and menotr our At-Promise youth.
MOSAIC Mentors are paired up with all of our students to provide academic and social support, through goal setting, academic assistance, art, recreation, and civic engagement activities.
Our school services at-risk/at-promise students who are struggling with academic and social emotional challenges. Some of our students have been released from juvenile hall/camps and may have a history of violence or aggressive behaviors.

- Must be 18 or older
- TB Test
