Organization Description

CDI's mission is to help all children reach their full potential by supporting the relationships and environments that shape early development. CDI’s vision is that ALL children thrive in the care of families and communities where their needs are respected and provided for in developmentally appropriate environments. The sustainability of our model depends on partnerships as we remain dedicated to the future of early child development with special attention to supporting the most vulnerable children in our community-- Strengthening families and strengthening communities.

Program Information

We have service learning opprotunities for students from a variety of majors and skills set:
- Development & implementation of programming for young children and families in literacy, math, science, physical fitness, early development, music, history, healthy eating.
- Research site for graduate students to work with children, families, community development, local businesses and other partners.
- Support and development marketing and communication materials and social media for students from areas including graphic design, communications, marketing and business.
- Development of database systems for data collection and evaluation.
- Develop youth engagement strategies and work force development programs
- Public health and community outreach programs
- Assist in special event planning and management
