Opportunity Summary 

Position Description 

The position will work in conjunction with the District Reading Specialist to build reading proficiency among our Kindergarten through Third Grade students. Tasks including individual and small group instruction in the "Big 5" of reading, including phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, phonics, and spelling.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes

Promote grade level reading proficiency for all primary students with the goal of grade level reading proficiency for all students exited the third grade.

Desired Qualifications

Candidates should work well with children and possess strong language skills. The position is ideal for those considering a career in elementary education.

 

Length of Position: One Semester

Hours per week 5-10 (more available if desired by candidate)
