California LGBTQ Health and Human Services Network

Organization Description

The California LGBTQ Health and Human Services Network is a statewide coalition of non-profit providers, community centers, and researchers working collectively to advocate for state level policies and resources that will advance LGBT health. We strive to provide coordinated leadership about LGBT health policy in a proactive, responsive manner that promotes health and wellness as part of the movement for LGBT equality.

Program Information

An intern would work primarily on the #Out4MentalHealth project. It is a statewide project that engages LGBTQ people throughout California to develop a mental health equity agenda and offer tools and resources that address these disparities and make our shared goals a reality. Interns would be offered opportunities to participate in state and local policy meetings, provide administrative and legislative advocacy, engage in community organizing, support LGBTQ serving organizations with building capacity, and forge collaborative relationships across the state.
