Position Description
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Board Chair/Executive Director, perform the following duties:
- Create a client-satisfaction survey for past workshop participants
- Contact past workshop participants for their feedback by phone or and email
- Develop metrics that measure workshop effectiveness and registrant demographics
- Create PR pitch and communications plan for local media and community outreach.
- Track PR/Communications plan efforts and results
- Post marketing content and maintain social media presence.
- Assist with coordination of educational workshops and events.
- Assist with the development of e-newsletters and other marketing related tasks.
Learning Objectives and Outcomes
This position provides a hands on learning experience with PR, Marketing and Analytics. The objective is provide interns with the opportunity to work within their career objective and refine their skills in order to produce effective results in the workforce. The internship position can be applied in many ways and tailored to help fulfill a portion of the intern's career and/or experience that they are looking to further explore.
Desired Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong social media skills
- Very good computer skills, especially working with spreadsheets
- Organized and detail oriented
- Dynamic communication skills
- Excellent phone skills
- Comfortable with talking and working with senior citizens
Length of Position: One Semester
Hours per Week: Flexible
