At Community Bridges our mission is to deliver essential services, provide equitable access to resources, and advocate for health and dignity across every stage of life. Since 1977, Community Bridges has been a catalyst for a brighter future by providing basic resources for the people of Santa Cruz County. Our family of ten vital programs across 20 different sites serves thousands of local children, families, and seniors each year. While each program is remarkable on its own, together we are unstoppable.
Program Information REMOTE
Our programs give community members access to transportation, healthy food, health care, and senior daycare. We offer early education, grade school tutoring, and classes in breastfeeding, parenting, and literacy.
Family Resource Collective- Ongoing support for operations. Design work in Canva, agency client feedback surveying (design, implementation, analysis, and feedback loops), operationalizing centralized intake systems, support for multiple helplines to ensure streamlined end efficient systems.
Community Bridges has a centralized administration for all our 10 programs that provide administrative services from CEO's office, contracts, development, human resources, payroll, and fiscal services.
We are looking for interns that are able to work with confidential information, are flexible and able to work in a busy office setting, has good professional communication skills, and has good organizational skills. Office work experience is preferred but not required.

Learning opportunities are as follows:
1. CEO's office: Assist in roll-out of an agency wide centralized eligibility app though development of staff-training materials and presentations. Assist in coordination of outreach, training, workshops, volunteers and networks. Support referral of participants across the agency. Support legislative advocacy on local and federal levels.
2. Development Department Support with outreach activities to increase awareness for our services and expand partnership opportunities in the community. An outreach volunteer could spend 4 hrs/wk surveying local business and community partner opportunities to engage via events, presentations, supplying informational materials, and making contacts to connecting parties with staff at our programs. Volunteer can also help update and inventory outreach materials, and work with programs to coordinate outreach efforts.
3. Human Resources Will perform a variety of independent office support functions. Will support program and management staff, provides clerical assistance to the HR department including answering phone calls, directing clients and other office clerical duties. Interns need to be able to work with confidential information

We offer monthly staff trainings that interns are welcome to attend if they are relevant to learning outcomes. Training will be provided for tasks and opportunities as needed.
