Opportunity Summary
Position Description
Every Monday and Thursday evening and Saturday mornings volunteers structured activities and care for our residents’ children so that they can participate in mandatory programming meetings or recovery meetings. Volunteer must be 18 or older, or 16 and older if accompanied by a parent or adult.
Responsibilities include:
- Engaging children from ages 1-12 in activities
- Creating activity plans
- Leading games and activities
- Leading snack-time
- Keeping all children safe by enforcing Kid Zone rules and following policies and procedures
Learning Objectives and Outcomes
- Support Kid Zone at Solutions for Change by being a consistent and reliable volunteer
- Learn how to manage and engage a group of children with diverse ages and interests
- Learn how to design and lead a craft, activity, or game
Desired Qualifications
- Must be over the age of 18 to volunteer individually
- Comfortable with children
Length of Position: Flexible
Hours per Week: Up to 7
