Opportunity Summary 

Position Description

  • Participate in event planning task force and department meetings
  • Assist with community events such as flu shot screening events and agricultural community events
  • Assist Community Engagement with administrative tasks such a data entry and phone calls
  • Collaborate on community activities with other NCHS departments

Learning Objectives and Outcomes

The Community Engagement Intern will gain hands on experience by assisting in planning and assisting with community engagement events in order to increase awareness of the services and programs provided by North County Health Services. Through training, mentorship, and routine interactions, interns learn new skills, expand their networks, and achieve personal and professional growth.

MPH or Master Level Student

 

Length of Position: One Semester

Hours per Week: 6 - 10
