ABC Hopes' mission is to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to contribute to society in a positive manner by giving them job opportunities that develop their social, physical, and educational skills. We will be accomplishing our mission by training our participants to operate a produce stands, participate in our fitness program, and various community events and fundraisers. ABC Hopes has devoted itself to providing opportunities and programs for young adults with intellectual disabilities in order to continue building their skill sets whether it be in an educational setting or in a physically active setting. As we continue to grow, we continue to see the need for more programs that result in building skills for daily life, fostering independence and enhancing the overall well being of our participants. ABC Hopes (dis) ABILITIES Fitness has created an atmosphere that allows our participants the opportunity to exercise their bodies, their minds and their social skills in a unique environment specifically designed with their own needs in mind. With the numerous health risks that come along with having an intellectual disability it is of utmost prevalence that steps are taken to improve their physical well-being. Physical activity leads to improved daily routines and life-styles.
