Program Information

The social work role in the clinic is vast. The social work role includes psychotherapy with a focus on topics such as the role of the cancer diagnosis, treatment decisions, survivorship, quality of life, sexual health and dysfunction, and end of life issues. There also will be learning opportunities around crisis management. Further, there is a large case management component, assuring patients have access to care by reducing barriers. Further, there are opportunities for administrative and research involvement.

Health & Safety

Health care/direct service is an environment where staff are at risk for violence as well as disease transmission. Adequate medical precautions and security are available to mitigate and reduce risk.
