Organization Description

Heal the Bay is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds, including the Santa Monica Bay, safe, healthy, and clean. We use research, education, community action and advocacy to pursue our mission.

Program Information

If the students are allowed to work independently, we have a community outreach and education program to stencil storm drains with marine life. In terms of volunteer programs that we offer community service report forms for, it is up to the student's discretion and interest. All of our programs can be found at www.healthebay.org/volunteer. I suggest that service learning students participate in a wide array of programs so that they can get a more well-rounded view of what we do.
