Sacramento LGBT Community Center

Organization Description

The Sacramento LGBT Community Center provides vital, affirming, and trauma-responsive mental health services to 2S/LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC youth (13-17), transitional-age youth (18-24) and adults (25+) throughout the greater Sacramento region. Practicum students have the opportunity to provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy within a supportive and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes healing and empowerment. 

Program Information

Range of tasks from: advocacy, group facilitation, direct services for lgbtq+ community members and members experiencing homelessness, youth services, and community outreach.

Health & Safety

Only the main office and basement of the shelter are wheelchair accessible. There is risk when engaging with youth and adults experiencing homelessness and mental health crises.
