Opportunity Summary 

Position Description

  • Opportunities to support various programs related to public health, mental health, education, event planning, and more.
  • Assist with daily office administrative tasks (assisting walk-ins, answering telephone calls, managing general NSDI email account)
  • Managing office calendar and conference room reservations
  • Responsible for NSDI meeting requests
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships with like-minded partners
  • Additional general and program-specific tasks assigned by immediate supervisor

Learning Objectives and Outcomes

  • Gain experience in program logistics and case management
  • Develop strengths in community outreach
  • Boost expertise in workshop, panel discussion, fundraising, and general event management
  • Enhance skills in program material creation

Desired Qualifications

  • Relative experience in office administration or program coordination 
  • Relative experience working with the NSDI primary populations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Works well in a high-pressure environment with diverse demographics
  • Courteous demeanor

 

Length of Position: One Semester

Hours per Week: 8 - 20
