Organization Description

Yellowstone Forever is the official nonprofit partner of Yellowstone National Park. We celebrate the wonder of Yellowstone in all that we do. Our mission of engagement and support through philanthropy and education for the park will ensure Yellowstone remains for generations to come. We offer exceptional visitor experiences and educational programs, and invite visitors to translate those experiences into lifelong support.

Program Information

Students will be participating in our Stewardship of Public Lands college program, including work on the Home on the Range citizen science project. The majority of this program will take place along the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park. Lodging is based outside of the park at our Yellowstone Overlook Field Campus in Gardiner, MT. Staff (Naturalist Instructor) will be present while in the field, and a volunteer caretaker will be present at the Overlook. Transportation during the program is provided.

All students, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation, are open and welcome to participate.

Hours of operation 

Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm MST. While staying at the Overlook, students will be able to contact the caretaker at any time in case of emergencies.
