Program Information

Shadowing Social Workers. At Children's Services branch will screen calls of child abuse and neglect; investigate referrals with assistance from Social Worker; assist with writing court reports; supervise visits; complete home visits; attend Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings; participate in Read Evaluate Direct (RED) teams; utilize Structure Decision Making (SDM) tool; develop case plans with families; complete contact notes; utilize CWS/CWS; interview clients and children

Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. In the Children's services branch, there may be times when an intern may be in the field past 5 pm either completing a home visit, investigating a referral and/or providing transportation. The supervisor is always informed and communication is ongoing when workers are in the field. A supervisor is in the office until 6 pm
