Organization Description

Program Information

Work with SLC staff to engage school-age youth and adults in science and engineering activities; Participate in training and mentoring efforts to improve teaching and learner engagement strategies (as directed by the SLC Coordinator or Director); Be open and flexible to learning on-the-job and adjusting teaching and engagement strategies based on feedback from SLC staff; Assist with organizing, cleaning and general upkeep of the SLC, including assisting with planning, set-up, clean-up and supply management related to educational activities conducted both in the SLC and as part of Outreach; And other activities congruent with Service Learning Class topics/goals.

Hours of operation 

Although the hours of the Science Learning Center may vary slightly from year to year, it is generally open 3 days per week. Currently, it is open on Monday mornings, Wednesdays and Fridays. Due to the demand for services on Fridays, it is typically always open on those days.
