Volunteer Group Co-Facilitator At — New Hope Grief Support Community

Opportunity Summary

New Hope's mission is to bring hope and healing into the lives of bereaved children and families through connection and support. We accomplish this by hosting weekly support groups for grieving elementary, middle and high school students in the Great Long Beach area. As a volunteer group, co-facilitator students would be given the opportunity to work with grieving students through an 8-week, per-based, grief support group. The group uses a guided curriculum, and New Hope provides the necessary training. This opportunity will give CSULB students the ability to gain hands-on, real-life experience working with students who are learning how to navigate life after a loss.

Our support groups for 1st grade to 12th-grade students happen during the regular school hours within Long Beach Unified School District. Days & times vary.
