MoPride (Central Valley Pride Center)

Organization Description

MoPride's mission is to serve, empower, and advocate on behalf of the thriving LGBTQIA+ community in our region. The Central Valley Pride Center is MoPride primary vehicle for providing these services to our community. The Pride Center is open five days a week as a drop in center and provides support and social groups for the LGBTQIA+ community, families and their allies.

Program Information

There are several different opportunities that the students could participate in. First would be receptionist/ administrative positions. This would include greeting guest, answering phones, data entry and donation management. We also have positions for our youth team which create our youth programming, help coordinate with our local schools and mentor youth. Lastly we have an outreach team with positions available. Outreach team members help with community collaboration including partnership agreement, social media and creating promotional materials.

Central Valley Pride Center is open to the public Tuesday- Saturday 2pm-7pm. We do have work hours outside of our drop in hours Mondays from 10am-6pm and Thursday and Friday mornings.
