Opportunity Summary 

Position Description

Under the direction of the Site Leader, the applicant will work in small groups of students assisting with homework, reading and academic areas of concern. They will assist with group play, group games, arts and crafts.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes

The applicant will learn classroom management skills and techniques. They will have the ability to lead small groups in various activities and get hands-on experience working with students in a classroom setting.

Desired Qualifications

College courses in Human Development, Education, Psychology or the like. Desire to work with elementary age students.

 

Length of Position: 1-16 weeks

Hours per Week: 1-10

Application Instructions

The applicant will be required to fill out volunteer forms and provide a copy of their ID prior to volunteering at one of the elementary schools AM-PM Program.
