Marketing AssistantAt — The Living Planner
Position Description
I. Overview: Consider this internship an opportunity to put into practice what you’re learning in school. It’s important to me that you gain experience to assist you on your career path. We will agree upon what you will do and together we will assess your initiative, impact and overall performance. I come from a 30+ year global corporate background in the public and private sectors. I’ve led cross-cultural teams and believe strongly in development of those working with me.
II. Skill Assessment: In alignment with CSUSM evaluations, we will concentrate upon Personal Qualities; Professional Qualities and maintain open communication providing feedback throughout the term. We will establish your goals as you begin the Internship for me to track your achievement / performance throughout term. Performance Reviews to be submitted by me to your Professor, as required by CSUSM.
III. Recording of time and deliverables: This internship recognizes your priority to study and work and as such, this Internship can be completed “virtually”. I will provide feedback about your deliverables weekly. It is important to me that you obtain “real world” experience. We will meet to ensure assignments are clear; to allow for Q&A and to ensure you have what you need to complete your assignments. We will decide the schedule and format (in-person and use of technology) of our meetings. You are responsible for tracking your time and report your invested time to me weekly. I will maintain these hours to report to CSUSM as required.
IV. Assignments: Specific assignments will be given based upon the areas you are familiar with and eager to participate in. Focus for the term will be assigned based on your marketing skills (video creation, social media, marketing research and exposure to funnels a plus!) and The Living Planner deliverables during your internship timeframe.
