Position Description

I will send letters in PDF format to translators. They do the translation from Spanish to English and send them back to me. Some of the letters are hard to decipher so I ask you to give it your best to attempt to translate the meaning of the letters.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes

The learning objectives are to improve you Spanish language skills by translating personal letters from Spanish speakers to English speakers, to decipher the main thoughts of the letter's author and to convey it to the reader.

Desired Qualifications

I require an intermediate grasp of the Spanish language and a willingness to write a cohesive letter from content that is often grammatically incorrect and fragmented.

Number of positions available 10

Length of position fall semester annually

Hours per week various according to translators schedule- no more than 1-2 hours per week

Please write me an email with your preferred number of hours to work. Usually the letters come in spurts and we have a lot of lead time so I can work around your schedule.
