Program Information

Sunny Brae Middle School is located in the rural community of Arcata, CA. We are the only true middle school (grades 6-8) in the Arcata area. We believe that middle school creates a natural bridge between elementary school and high school. 

The staff at SBMS is committed to providing a comprehensive program in a safe environment that serves the academic, physical, social and emotional needs of our students as they move from childhood to adolescence. Working as a team with parents and the community, we will assist students in developing the necessary skills to become responsible, independent, and self-sufficient learners in a global community. 

Health & Safety

All students serving at a school within HHUSD must attend a mandatory orientation.
