Position Description (e.g. tasks, projects, assignments)

Work with senior electrical, mechanical, software and PCB layout engineers in designing custom products for our end customers. This engineer will work under the guidance of the team leader to assist in the design, build and qualification of custom printed circuit boards. Primary design work will be with high-speed digital designs such as PCIe Gen 4, 100G Ethernet, DC/DC power supply design, x86 and ARM based processor design.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes:

Learn engineering methodology of designing a product from product definition to production. Become familiar with common engineering CAD tools (schematic, layout). Opportunity to work in an engineering lab working with various test equipment such as DMM, SMU, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, in-circuit programming and analysis hardware. Understand the importance of properly documenting your design for a smooth transition into production.

Paid: $25 per hour
