Health & Safety

09/30/2020 - RS asked about their Health and Safety Precautions given their in-person opportunity during COVID-19.

Response from Maria Munoz:

Here are the answers to your questions:

  • What CDC guidelines does the Peppertree Montessori follow to ensure the health and safety of their staff, students and volunteers? Staff as well as children have their temperature taken every day upon arrival. If anyone's temperature is over 100 degrees, they will not be allowed to attend for 72 hours. Teachers are required to wear their mask once they leave their classroom and must enter into the lobby or another classroom. Teachers must wash their hands upon arrival and departure of each classroom.
  • How often will the student volunteers completing their service learning placement be required to come to the site? The student volunteers will be required to attend Monday-Friday.
  • Are there any aspects of the position that can happen virtually? Unfortunately, no.
