Service-Learning OpportunitiesAt — Ojai Valley Land Conservancy
1) The OVLC needs help creating an Ojai Valley-wide Trails Master Plan, and to begin with, we need to survey local businesses for their input related to trails and trail use throughout the valley. This will entail interviewing retail shops, lodging facilities, and potentially local government officials for their experience and their clientele's experience on trails.
2) Assist with restoration project implementation, including planting, weeding, seed collection, plant propagation, docent preservation, trail maintenance, and greenhouse management. Assistance is also needed with fundraising events, public relations, membership drives, mailings, graphics, and web design.
Ojai Valley Land Conservancy is also interested in working directly with faculty from varied disciplines to build service-learning projects that support course outcomes.
