Organization Description

Wellpath Community Care is an out patient,adult, evidence-based behavioral health and Opioid Medication-Assisted treatment program for persons with psychiatric, and substance abuse and addiction diagnoses. Wellpath Community Care staff provides individual, group and family psychotherapy services to persons receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment services and persons with mental health issues including trauma, mood disorders, anxiety and depression. Wellpath Community Care also offers a trauma-informed intensive outpatient treatment track, as well as a tobacco-cessation module, and overall medical wellness services. Wellpath Community Care utilizes a robust array of validated treatment modalities, and operates sophisticated technology regarding medical records and clinical outcomes.

Program Information

Graduate intern students, under the supervision of a licensed clinician (Ph.D, Psy.D, MFT or LCSW), will provide individual, group and family psychotherapy services to an array of persons with behavioral health and addictive disorders. Students will also facilitate psychotherapy groups, conduct clinical assessments, perform case management services, and participate in individual and group supervision. Students will learn medical record charting through an electronic medical records system. Students will learn to generate DSM 5 diagnoses and develop goal-focused treatment plans linking objectives with attainable outcomes. Students will participate in clinical in-service training programs, and write process recordings.

Wellpath Community Care is housed in a one-story suite in Roseville, CA. Wellpath Community Care is an outpatient clinic with no outstanding safety considerations. Wellpath Community Care is able to offer virtual services, allowing students to enjoy a robust field placement without being on-site, depending on Covid circumstances.

Graduate interns placed at Wellpath Community Care will receive rigorous and rewarding training in diagnostic, documentation, and clinical interventions. Students will function in a professional environment with opportunities to be trained and practice different evidence-based practice interventions, as well as documentation in a state-of-the-arts electronic medical record. Students will receive the highest quality supervision by seasoned licensed clinicians. Students will interact in a collegial and professional environment and attend trainings that will enhance their academic and hands-on experiences.
