Organization Description

The Sports Philanthropy Network’s mission to assist athletes, teams, leagues and other sports organizations harness the power of sports to do good things in their communities. We love programs which focus on social change, education, opportunity, empowerment and other social causes. We also love helping other non-profits benefit from our experience so that we can help them find athletes to assist them in their outreach and fundraising efforts.

Program Information

Tasks/activities students will be performing for this opportunity:

Interns will participate in a program that provides practical experience in many facets of sports, including: marketing, social media, fundraising, business development, communications, event management and operations. This internship is for course credit only.

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned:

Interns will spend the semester getting substantive work experience and learning from our team of sports philanthropy and sports business professionals. Students will have the opportunity to apply their course work to a professional setting and gain valuable exposure to the sports industry as well as interact and network with high level leaders across all aspects of the sports business community.
