This opportunity is available for Spring 2021 only. 

The Employer and Entrepreneurship Services Intern will support and work closely with the Employer and Entrepreneurship Services (EES) team in the Career Center. In this role, the EES Intern will collaborate with various team members of the Career Center to connect students/alumni and community members to employer engagement activities. In addition, the EES Intern will also bridge business and entrepreneurship needs with advising and education opportunities provided by the Career Center and SBDC.

As a member of the Career Center team, the EES Intern will have access to a vast network of professionals and the opportunity to engage in professional development training. The EES Intern can anticipate bolstering transferable skills that can be showcased on a resume and enhance career development opportunities for the future. In addition, the student's tasks/activities will help the student achieve the following learning outcomes: a) develop an understanding of program policies, services, and resources and effectively communicate the information to a variety of stakeholders, b) expand knowledge about partnership development and identify at least five internal and external stakeholders, c) ability to identify talent acquisition strategies, organize and execute outreach efforts, cite hiring trends, and potential industry networks, and d) demonstrate initiative to identify demands and trends and recommend technology, systems, programs, and/or improvements to support the programs and services.

Weekend hours are also available. Evening and weekend hours are available if there are special events scheduled and attendance is required by the staff.

Note: due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no events are scheduled in person at this time. Most events are currently scheduled virtually during the normal operation hours from Monday-Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM.
